A 2.0 is learning the basics of the game trying to learn to rally or understand the basics of the game such as how to score or where to stand. Players at this level are just trying to get the ball over the net.
Skill Characteristics

Serve & return: Serves may be inconsistent (some go out or into the net), and returns are often weak or inaccurate.

Rules knowledge: Still learning the rules (like scoring, the double-bounce rule, and kitchen/non-volley zone rules).

Positioning: Often out of position—may stay back when they should move forward or not know where to stand.
Strategy:No real strategy yet—just reacting to the ball.
